Pearl Olson (also known as Cowgirl Pearl): Acoustic Bass, Guitar, Vocals
L.A. Suess: Banjo, Harmonica, Mandolin, Vocals
Don Greenwood: Guitar, Percussion, Vocals

Scott, Pearl and L.A. Suess are currently based in the Galena area. Don is from Spring Green.
All four are accomplished songwriters and seasoned performers.

Scott Guthrie: Born and raised in Michigan, Scott Kerry Guthrie had his first paid gig at 15 (thanks, Uncle Harvey) and he never looked back. Since then there have been solo years, songwriting years, band years and more but there have never been any “I am done with music” years. It never occurred to him to put it down, as others he has known in the business have. “Music is almost as important to me as breathing is. I couldn’t live without it. The longest I ever went without a guitar was the first seven weeks of Navy bootcamp. It was the longest 7 weeks of my life.” He has been part of a Nashville songwriters circle and can be heard at multiple venues in the Driftless area on a regular basis. He has played almost every style of popular music from 50’s rock and country to current music. Blues has always been a part of his repertoire, even before he was old enough to have really been introduced to it. Early influences include Elvis, Johnny Cash, Johnny Bond, Jean Shephard, Cal Smith, Roger Miller, Kris Kristofferson and Faron Young.

Pearl Olson has been a featured performer in several Driftless Area bands including the family group known as The One Hat Band, The Matriarchs and Medicinal Purposes (a duo with Scott Guthrie). She is an accomplished songwriter and vocalist and her upright bass playing is much in demand. Pearl is also a midwife and when she is not playing music, she is either delivering babies or attending shows of the various bands fronted by her talented children.

L.A. Suess is a multi-instrumentalist who has worked the Branson, Missouri Circuit, provided musical entertainment aboard the Mark Twain riverboat at Hannibal, Missouri. In the summers he now plays aboard the Twilight riverboat on cruises between Dubuque and LeCLaire, Iowa.

Don Greenwood is a folk, country and blues singer/songwriter who performs throughout the Driftless Area either as a solo act, a duo, or with Big Medicine. He has a repertoire of well-crafted original songs, and is an excellent interpreter of artists such as Bob Dylan, Tim Hardin, Willy DeVille and Mississippi John Hurt.
